Hobbit-holes, also known as smials, are as diverse as the cheerful Hobbits themselves. These cozy abodes nestle into the hillside amidst the lush greenery of Hobbiton. Bagshot Row, adorned with the magnificent Bag End, boasts a collection of charming dwellings, some more modest but all adorned with wreaths of flowers and colorful door faces.
One such smial, 1 Bagshot Row, has been home to notable residents like Samwise Gamgee and his beloved Rosie Cotton. These collectible Hobbit Hole environments, crafted by the talented artists at Weta, offer a glimpse into the unique personalities of their inhabitants. Scattered across the grassy hills of Hobbiton, the round, brightly colored doors of these smials add a touch of summery charm to the landscape, each concealing the snug burrows that house Hobbits or their families. As for the term "smial," it refers to these earthy, comfortable Hobbit-holes that wind into the hillsides, providing homes for the rosy-cheeked denizens of the Shire. And at 3 Bagshot Row, Samwise Gamgee and Rosie Cotton have made their home, a place of special significance after their adventures in the War of the Ring.
In response to valuable customer feedback, Weta made an important update to the name of this particular Hobbit Hole, aligning it more faithfully with its depiction in the renowned Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
